Mardi Gras 2012: Lots of People and Lots of Party Favors

No matter where you choose to go, there are carnival celebrations in the streets this year in mid February and their will be reminders left on the streets in the wake of the music, dancing and all around good time.
However, environmentalist have been complaining for quite some time about the excessive amount of beads, cups, streamers, plastic toys and other debris that’s left in the wake of all of the celebration. It is important to protect the environment and preserve tradition at the same time. In New Orleans there are bead collecting and recycling each year, so no one has to stop yelling “throw me something mister!”
